Recommendation

Assembly should sustain its efforts in involving the communities in the initiation and planning of capital projects, as well as soliciting their views on the technical drawings of the project In future, the Assembly should advertise its projects in more than one local daily of general circulation and notify unsuccessful bidders about the outcome of the bidding process. The Works Engineer and the DPCU should step up their supervisory and monitoring activities to ensure that work is done according to specification. Management should also ensure that the total costs of the works not executed should be recovered from the Contractor. The Assembly should share information with user institutions and communities to enable them to assess the impact of completed projects to inform future decisions
